This did not work for this application at all, the EGR was intermittently sticking mechanically, so that was the reasoning to use the product. I researched the product and found people had great success. installed the product and there was still EGR operation showing on the Data stream. Called into find out what might be wrong, they said "it will only work if your EGR system is working problem free 1st". I did not read this information anywhere before ordering. They claimed it was clearly stated on their website. I did not see it anywhere.....
Pretty disappointing to say the least. I was credited the original cost, but not the shipping, or incurred costs to get it into Canada, so a loss of approx $200. This may work for others, but i am calling them out on improper advertisement of a product. I also asked to speak with the owner to try and work out what a solution could be, but was never called back. :(
Response from the owner: Sorry you were unhappy with our product. It is stated in the product description, as well as our Q&A section under the information tab that the EGR valve needs to be working properly. A $150 fix isn't going to fix a broken EGR valve. As far as shipping to Canada, you were aware of that cost before placing the order as well as the custom taxes for coming over the border. The owner is busy with day to day operations and running another business as well. He would've relayed the same message we did when you called three separate times. As our return policy states, we will refund the cost of the product if returned within 90 days, which we did. If you ever have a properly working EGR valve, we would love for you to try the product again so you can see the benefits it offers!
